Before I had children so many people were quick to tell me that life would never be the same again. Sometimes those comments were negative and other times they were meant positively. Well, I can tell you that being a mother has been the most rewarding gift that life has ever given me. Is it a job? Of course, but it is a job that I would never in my life think of having a do-over on. The greatest gift I could have ever received this past Mother’s Day was the fact that I could celebrate it with these two cuties! What a blessing it is to be the mom to two these two handsome gentlemen.
Pampers has always been so wonderful to celebrate babies as well as the people who take care of the babies. I was so thrilled to be a part of the latest Pampers Mission which was all about taking care of a brand new mom. While I never had the opportunity to meet this mom, I was able to give a very generous donation to a brand new mom in our local NICU. This particular mom just had a sweet little baby that has several different medical problems. When you have a baby in the NICU all of life pretty much stops. You really just want to be with your baby. Not to mention, it is costly to have a baby in the NICU. Many times parents quit jobs so that they can be with their baby and help care for him or her.
In order to help lighten the load of this particular new mom, I was able to fill at Mother’s Day card FULL of gift cards. There were Visa gift cards to help with different expenses as well as local restaurant gift cards. When there is a baby in the NICU you really don’t want to be home cooking, so parents will spend money eating out and getting back to the baby as quick as possible.
While I didn’t get to see this mom, I was told that she was in tears when she opened the card. I am so thankful that we were able to make a bright spot in her day!

Make sure to see the Pampers #ThanksBaby video that takes you on the journey from when baby is first born. It makes us all thankful for the little ones that made us moms! Make sure to share the moments that make you want to say #ThanksBaby as well.
If you want to check out the video below, you will have a sneak peak into another little Pampers Mission I accomplished. More on that one later this week!
They sure do change everything, but I wouldn’t change a minute of it 🙂
That was so thoughtful of you to bless a mom with a baby in NICU. One of my friends just had a baby that has been in the NICU for the last 4 weeks (with many more weeks to come) and I know how difficult and financially draining this has been for them, so I think it’s great you’re helping families like theirs!
Oh wow! It’s so heartening to hear how you helped that mom! So many people today just say, “what can I do?” and leave it at that.
I have several friends who had babies in the NICU. It was such a difficult experience. How great that you were able to do this and make someone’s Mother’s Day brighter as they struggled with this situation.
Babies do change everything – from the moment we know we’re pregnant. Everything looks different. Everything we do is for different reasons.
What an amazing thing that you and Pampers did. I’m sure she was very appreciative. I remember being a mom for the first time with a tiny baby…I needed help!
How amazing to give back to a NICU mom for Mother’s Day! I definitely know how expensive a NICU stay can be! What a campaign
Yes, a baby does change a lot of things. Loved reading this post, Pampers really does well with their products for moms of babies for sure 😉
They definitely do change everything. That was awesome of Pampers to do this initiative to help others. And thanks for your part, too. 🙂
When I went from one child to two, things changed so much. I loved every minute of it and wouldn’t trade it for the world.
having a child is a precious gift from GOD
and being a mother greatest reward
Yes, being a mother does change your life. How wonder that you were able to pay it forward and give another mom some giftcards to help her.
What a great gift to that new mom! Motherhood definitely changes your life!
Yes, a baby does change everything. But I think it’s for the better – all around!
