This week I am excited that I stumbled across an old cookbook of mine that is a favorite. Dinner: A Love Story is actually celebrating 10 years and is currently half off on Amazon ($14.99) if you are interested. It’s one of those cookbooks that feels like a handed down used book from your grandmother, but has a beautiful cover and homey illustrations. It is basically the cookbook author’s personal and family recipes. I highly recommend the book for either yourself or to grab for a gift.
I have a few recipes from the book but also a few others that have been delicious! As a reminder, I only post 5 recipes because that is generally all I will cook. Depending upon how busy the weeks are you may find things like “hot dogs” or “frozen orange chicken from Trader Joe’s”. It’s all about balance, right?
Crispy HOney Ginger Salmon
This was a total hit even with my youngest son! If you don’t love salmon I think you will enjoy this. However, you could always sub out the salmon for chicken or maybe some of the pineapple sausage that Target has. Crispy Honey Ginger Salmon
Egg Roll In A Bowl
This is one of the recipes from Dinner: A Love Story. I think I can relate to Jenny because we seem to think alike when it comes to food. I appreciate this deconstructed egg roll and how simple it makes life! Egg Roll in a Bowl
Coke Braised Carnitas
Did someone say coke? Another simple, but different carnitas recipe from Dinner: A Love Story. Coke Braised Carnitas
Chicken Tzatziki Bowls
I am going to have to get pretty creative in order to make this allergy friendly for Davis, but I am so looking forward to this recipe in particular! Chicken Tzatziki Bowls
Toasted Italian Sandwich
The boys love a good deli sandwich. I think these will be perfect to take it up a notch or two without being overly complicated. Toasted Italian Sandwich
What have been some of your favorite recipes so far? I really need to do a better job of keeping track of the favorites around here!
