This Christmas there is something special for your Toy Story 3 fans! If you haven’t seen the Toy Story Buzz Lightyear Spaceship Command Center you have to check it out. At first I was pretty sure that Graham would be interested in this for a few days and it would grow old. To my surprise this is a toy that both Graham and Davis go to on a daily basis and use in many different ways. I like it when a toy can be used creatively and be long lasting.
When we first received the Command Center for review, both of the boys were eager to get their hands on it. There are so many fun features and different characters that you can put with the Command Center, that your children will be flying space missions in no time! One of my favorite features is that it can be used both lying down and standing up. When the Command Center is flat it serves the purpose of the rocket. There are wheels on the bottom for smooth rolling or just fly Buzz through the air. Graham’s favorite feature is the voice amplifier that allows him to be the voice in control of the mission! It is hilarious to listen to what he comes up with. Davis definitely loves the lights and sounds that come from the Command Center. Push the button on the top to hear phrases from the movie as well as other noises. Inside you will find a trap door in order to capture Zurg, a spinner to choose a mission and even a gas nozzle for refueling (or where ever your imagination leads). The door of the Command Center also opens and serves as a ramp. Open and close the top lid to put Buzz in the commander’s chair. Also included is a space rover so you can take your missions beyond the center.
One plus of the Toy Story Buzz Lightyear Spaceship Command Center is the fact that it is an all-in-one play center that is great for on the go. One negative I see is that it would be nice if a figure was included at the price point. For $49.99 you would hope to also have a figure included. You can purchase them separately for about $17.99. We were sent Space Rex as well as Space Buzz Lightyear for review as well. Space Rex comes apart and Space Buzz comes with a separate rocket launcher for his arm. Both work nicely with the Command Center.
Overall, this is definitely a top pick if you have Toy Story fans in your house. I am hoping it will go on sale around Christmas time (let’s all hope)!
