If you ask me what is the most important thing I want for my kids the answer is for them to know Jesus as their personal savior and to have a relationship with him all the days of their lives. The Story of King Jesus by Ben Irwin is one of the most well written and well thought out books for kids about the Gospel that I have read.
Those tears then brought questions from 4 year old. He knew why I was crying, but it made him ask even deeper questions. We talked about what we thought heaven would look like and he explained that he thought there would be no naps in heaven! It all just made me smile and I know that our Heavenly Father was smiling and crying right along with us.
The Story of King Jesus will open up the lines of communication with your kids. It is a go to book that you could easily read at bed time every night and expand upon what you are learning. Find ways to pair this up with the Bible to bring out the scriptures even more with your kids.
You can purchase The Story of King Jesus (hardcover) for about $12.04 on Amazon right now.

I would love a book about Jesus that would interest both our 3 and 7 year old kids! We have been discussing being intentional in the way you raise your kids in our small group and I think a book like this opens up a lot of doors for kids and parents at home! I love discussions with my kids and they always amaze me with their insight and questions about Jesus and heaven.

My grandkids are growing up without going to church or learning about God. I would love to have this for them. I love to give them books and videos with stories in them since they do not learn from Sunday School.

It’s important because I want them to know at an early age about Christ and want them to model good behavior as He wants. Thanks.

Sharing the gospel with my children and others is important to me because Jesus is the only way to heaven and He has commissioned us to share His truth with everyone. I also want my children to know who they are in Christ, so that when hard times come and when people treat them badly, they will remember that they are a child of the King and be strengthened by that.

Sharing the gospel with my children is very important in my life. From the gospel they learn how to live the right way and it will stay with them for the rest of their lives.
