LeapFrog is a trusted brand at this house and has been for a very long time. Graham has grown up with the Explorer, LeapPad, Tag Junior and Tag. When he was a baby he had various LeapFrog products that have now been passed down to Davis. I love the educational research that goes into these products and the way it makes learning fun and new for kids who may otherwise become frustrated.
We were sent the Tag Get Ready for Kindergarten book for review with Graham. Because he just entered Kindergarten I love having options at home that will help him grow and be better prepared along the way. This book is way more than just a book. The Tag Reader brings it to life and the pages begin to talk to your child. The Get Ready for Kindergarten book features sections in reading, mathematics, science and social studies that are appropriate for ages 4-8. The counselor in me loves that it also has a section on feelings. Character education is just as important as the rest!
Graham’s favorite sections in the book are the Monster Mathematics which features some funny looking monsters who are gobbling up goodies! The Tag Reader will prompt your child to answer questions that are math related. It gives tips and helps them along the way so that they are not frustrated. This is so important when you have young children. If you have a child who is a bit of a perfectionist they really want to get the answers right. The last thing I want is for my child to become discouraged by learning.
Graham also really likes the My Community section. Kids learn all about the world around them and match up different community workers to their buildings. Of course, Get Ready for Kindergarten provides even more details about the people and the community so your child is learning about the social workings of the world. Letters are paired with healthy foods and friendly faces in the ABC Snack Time refrigerator while words are matched up via flying pigs in wigs and other animals in Word Circus.
I was selected for this opportunity as a compensated member of Clever Girls Collective and received free product from LeapFrog to review. The content and opinions expressed here are all my own. #LeapFrogTag #spon
