Spring. Is it here? I’m not sure about where you are, but in Western North Carolina some days feel like spring while others are reminiscent of the arctic. Just yesterday we experienced snow, extremely high winds, rain and sleet which resulted in down trees and more. By Wednesday of this week we are likely to see temps of 80 degrees! It really is crazy. So, splashing into spring is sort of what has been happening for us. I like to say we have winter with a few splashes of spring mixed in!
Our spring splashes have resulted in many fabulous days for our family. We’ve ventured to the Biltmore House for bike riding, took a spin on the Blue Ridge Parkway that resulted in a quick hike to the falls, and there have been several days of blissful walking and bike riding around our house. We really can’t complain since so many beautiful memories are being made.
One thing is ringing true in our food selections, we are craving fresh, fun and festive. There’s just something about spring that makes you long for cold and colorful. The boys enjoy ice cream and treats as much as the next child, but now we have a way to make even the regular cup of milk something spectacular! If you’ve been by Target lately you may have noticed a few new cuties on the shelves. Trust me, you won’t miss their cute little faces. They are the faces and flavors of MilkSplash™. We were sent the Sir Strawberry Swirl and Jammin Banana flavors. Both are delicious enough that I may have enjoyed a glass or two myself.
MilkSplash™ is a fun new way to add some zero calorie spice to your milk, ice cream, shakes, smoothies and more. Just use one squirt for a glass of milk, mix and enjoy. If you are against artificial sweeteners you need to know that they are currently working on a more natural version. But, for now you can find these cute little flavored fellas on shelves in Target and soon in Walmart. Davis and Graham really enjoy the Sir Strawberry Swirl. They’ve been fans of “pink milk” since Charlie and Lola. If only they would learn to get along like Charlie and Lola! Baby steps. I’m especially looking forward to getting my hands on some of the Cookies ‘N Cream MilkSplash in order to make some kickin milk shakes this summer! Other great ideas include flavoring otherwise gross medicine so that kids will take it!
