Skinny Salted Caramel Mocha Macchiato Recipe

September 21, 2015 by Felicia

Fall happens this week and I couldn’t be more excited!  My husband’s birthday also comes this week which means finding an extra special treat is a must.  My morning coffee routine pretty much remains the same, but on the weekends and sometimes afterwork I shake things up.  My husband really enjoys iced coffee (even in the fall) so I like to find ways to make iced coffee and spice it up a little.  Recently I found a simple recipe that works well to curb the sweet tooth and fill the need for iced coffee.  It’s made even easier when you take a little help from International Delight.  You guys have to know my obsession for ID by now, right?  I’m so glad that they have recognized my obsession and allow me to share my creations with you which helps support this blog!

Skinny Salted Caramel Mocha Machiatto

Below is my extra simple recipe for what I like to call a Skinny Salted Caramel Mocha Macchiato Recipe.  I call it skinny because I use non-fat milk and just the help of ID with cocoa powder and vanilla.  That has to be skinner than a coffee house, right?  For the record, you can pour the Caramel Macchiato creamer into your regular old cup of coffee and have something extra special.  Just making sure you knew that ;).

SKINNY SALTED CARAMEL MOCHA MACCHIATO RECIPE

Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup International Delight Caramel Macchiato Creamer
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1/2 cup brewed coffee
  • 1/4 cup non-fat milk
  • pinch of kosher salt

Preparation:

  1. Whisk cocoa powder and vanilla together.Skinny Salted Caramel Mocha Machiatto Recipe
  2. Mix the creamer in with the cocoa powder/vanilla mixture and add to the bottom of a tall glass.

  3. Add 1 cup of ice to the glass.
  4. Pour your brewed coffee over the ice and add milk until it reaches the brim of the glass.Skinny Salted Caramel Mocha Machiatto

So, what are your delightful moments?  You can share a special moment drawn in the foam of a virtual coffee for your best gal pal!  Looking for more recipes and inspiration?  Make sure to check out International Delight on: Newsletter, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, and Instagram.

This sounds so yummy and way cheaper than the Starbucks version. I need to make one for myself…now!

This sounds so yummy. I need to start making my own instead of buying them out. I would save me some money.

My husband would probably love this. He loves his coffees, but I’m more of a tea gal myself. This looks delicious though! I may give it a try myself.

Oh I’d love to make one of these. That caramel sounds perfect and I love that it’s simple enough to make in the morning.

Mm hmm that just looks good on the screen!! I imagine it’s a tad better though, in person. 😉 I haven’t tried the International Delights, but I know at some point I will. 🙂

Well that looks delicious – although I had no idea adding salt was a thing? I’ll have to give it a try.
