Earlier this week I was telling you about how we like to give back to the school with the Box Tops™ program. I also went shopping in order to collect a few items for a special snack for lunch boxes and after school. I was able to find several General Mills® items that qualified for Bonus Box Tops™ which was a win/win! Each box will give Graham’s school 5 Box Tops™ points total. Each one gives his school $.10 which means $.50 per box! Woot!
Because Graham’s school is peanut free, I have to come up with creative ideas sometimes. He really loves trail mix, but a lot of times you find it with some type of nut included. So, this simple cereal trail mix recipe is a great way to have color, fun and yum in the lunch box. I know he has to get tired of the same old boring things! So, grab your favorite General Mills® cereals, a big bowl and don’t forget to clip the Box Tops™!
SIMPLE CEREAL TRAIL MIX
- 3 cups Lucky Charms Cereal
- 3 cups Honey Nut Cheerios
- 3 cups Cinnamon Toast Crunch
- 3 cups Mini Trix
Simple mix all of the cereals together in a large bowl. I divide it into small plastic bags so that they are ready to go each day for school or to grab after school.
What are your fun ways to spruce up snack time?
