When I went from full time to part time working in the schools I think I lost about 10 pounds! No kidding! Eating in the cafeteria was packing on the weight. There are some days our vegetable of choice is french fries! Just in time for back to school, Whole Foods is sponsoring a contest to help your school lunch programs healthier.
Chef Ann Cooper is known across the US for her work with different school districts helping them come up with healthier lunch plans (maybe some green beans for a veggie instead of mashed potatoes or bread?). You can find out more about her at www.chefann.com. Now, you can use your creativity to bring her to your school! Simply create a one minute video that talks about why your school needs a school lunch makeover. Be original and get the community involved in your effort.
Here is an example video for the contest:

I had a Whole Foods where I used to live… loved that store!

I love Whole Foods, I just wish it were closer, it’s quite a drive for us, we usually do it only when we have another reason to head out that way.
And what do you mean french fries aren’t veggies, since when????? 🙂
