The day of Thanksgiving generally marks the first day we start decorating the house for Christmas. This year we had such a wonderful time with our family in Georgia. The boys made new memories with their cousins and they were holiday moments all of us will forever cherish. With that said, we are getting a little bit of a late start with the decorating.
One thing I like to do each year is change out what is on the frame on our mantel. I will either look for free printables or, in some cases, make my own. You may remember the free printable for Fall I created a few months ago. This Christmas I wanted to make my own collage of words that mean a lot to us here in order to frame. Of course, I am letting you have a copy if you wish for your own mantel or wall. This would also be really cute transferred to a canvas! If you’d like to know how to accomplish that just follow the directions on my How to Transfer an Image to Canvas post.
We honored our other tradition and picked up our Christmas Tree from a local tree farm this afternoon. Now, we just need to pour the egg nogg (Matthew’s favorite), pour the coffee with a dab of one of my favorite seasonal creamers (White Chocolate Raspberry), turn on the music and start decorating! Tonight maybe we will enjoy a cozy fire and a fun Christmas movie.
