Creepy Bone Sandwich with Blood Dip #KRAFTRecipes

October 13, 2014 by Felicia

DisclosuregraphiccompensationHalloween is one of my favorite times of the year for making fun and creative snacks and crafts.  Fall makes me want to bake and Halloween food is a fun way to step outside the box (and even sneak in a few better for you foods for kids).  Maybe you remember my post from a few years back about our JELLO Worm brain, Creepy Eye Pudding, Pumpkin Spice Rice Krispie Treats and Pumpkin Patch Brownies?  The kids love this kind of thing and it makes for a special surprise when they come home from school.  This year I decided I wanted to make something less on the sweet side, but still creepy and fun for the boys.  So, I decided to put our bone cookie cutter to good use and come up with an after school treat that would fill them up and keep them that way until dinner time.

Creepy Bone Sandwich with Blood Dip for Halloween

These Creepy Bone Sandwiches served with Blood Dip (ketchup) were a hit!  Not only are they a breeze to make, but you probably already have everything you need right in your pantry and fridge.  Pair this with some fresh fruits and vegetables and you could have a meal.  These would also be fun appetizers or finger foods for a fun Halloween party or Fall Hay Ride Festival.

What are some fun ways you make Halloween or Fall foods special?  I would love to hear more ideas on how to incorporate better-for-you foods that your kids will gobble up!  Make sure to check out KRAFT for more Halloween Recipes for Kids.

What a great idea. It is a bit creepy, but perfect this time of year. Haha, and this is why Halloween will continue to be my favorite holiday, because you can serve your kids things like this and get away with it.

These are cute. We don’t really do anything special for Halloween other than our weekly movie night is usually a Halloween movie.
