Cranberry Citrus Sweet Iced Tea

Call me a girl who lives in a land of fairy tales, but I truly adore everything about this time of year.  I love the twinkle of the bright lights on the tree, the smell of a fireplace burning, the cozy decorations and family gathering.  There really is something magical about this time of year.  I enjoy having our family over on Christmas Eve.  It is so nice to make memories and share that time with loved ones.

Cranberry Citrus Sweet Iced Tea Recipe

We generally have the traditional meal of ham and all of the fixings.  Someone also brings a few jugs of sweet tea.  We do live in the south after all!  For those of you who are not in the south, I mean iced sweet tea.  Well, this year I wanted to spice things up a little and re-invent our favorite beverage by grabbing some Lipton Green Tea Citrus flavored iced tea, some cranberry juice and a few other favorites in order to create a new twist on a favorite.

Cranberry Citrus Sweet Iced Tea

I have been experimenting with this fun little recipe for a while.  I’ve tweaked it with a few different flavors here and there, but really, the more simple the better.  I guess that is the true southern girl in me showing!  I was taught to keep it simple and not change a good thing.  So, here is my simple little Cranberry Citrus Sweet Iced Tea recipe that you can share with your family this Christmas season.

CRANBERRY CITRUS SWEET ICED TEA RECIPE

Ingredients:

  • 5 cups Lipton Green Tea Citrus flavored ice tea
  • 5 cups cranberry juice
  • 1 lime for slicing
  • 1/2 cup of real cranberries for topping

Instructions:

  1. Mix the Lipton Green Tea Citrus flavored ice tea and the cranberry juice together well and pour into a pitcher.
  2. Add sliced lime and cranberries to the pitcher and give it one more mix!
  3. Pour into glasses over ice and drink with your favorite people.

This tea is perfect for sipping on while you pump up the Christmas jams and do your holiday cooking.  I think Bing Crosby’s White Christmas and this Cranberry Citrus Sweet Iced Tea go hand in hand.  Yep.  I can feel myself starting to dance through the snow right now.

This sounds like the perfect mocktail for holiday parties. Since I live in the South, sweet tea is a must for any occasion, and this looks like a tasty twist on the traditional sweetened black tea.

Lipton tea is my choice and honestly, I prefer tea than coffee. I’ll try these flavors and serve it on Christmas eve.

This is a good-looking tweak on iced tea.
And my husband and I are big fans of iced tea at dinners when we go out.
