There’s just something about the holiday break that helps me get back into the groove of this whole blogging thing. I’ll be honest, we have had 8 straight days of a kid with a fever, trying to get ready for Christmas and all of the other million things that have to get done. I really haven’t felt much like logging into this blog until tonight. That’s just the honest truth. I know you guys have to understand where I am coming from. However, there’s been a lot of down time and I am missing this space and I have some fun finds to share with you all!
FREE PHOTO CALENDAR
First of all, there’s this FREE photo calendar happening at Shutterfly! Today is the last day so you need to hurry up and grab it. Use the code: GIFTME for the free wall calendar (8×11 size).
THIS GOLD CUFF FOR $4.99
I recently stumbled across this online boutique called Purple Peridot. I somehow ran across them on Instagram when they had a sale on scarves. I ordered this plaid one for only $14.99 (it has since gone back up in price). But.. this.. this cuff!! You really can’t beat the price and it is so adorable!
GARFIELD ON NETFLIX
So, I told you that we’ve had a sick one in the house. Well, Garfield on Netflix has pretty much saved the entire family. OK. Maybe that was a bit of an exaggeration, but the truth is there has been a lot, and I mean A LOT of TV time in this piece! I am about to go a little stir crazy. Good thing Garfield is funny and we can all laugh about it (even if they like to play the episodes over and over and over).
ESSIE BALLET SLIPPERS
I bought this nail polish this summer, tried it once, hated it. Over the break I thought, I need to give this one more shot and try to put on more coats (since I had time on my hands and Seche Vita). AMAZING THINGS HAPPEN WHEN YOU HAVE TIME! Three coats later and I am completely in love with this neutral color that is like a nude/pale pink. Gorgeous! I feel like this would look great with any complexion as well. Hooray for bathroom counter finds! Also, that’s the scarf that I was talking about above.
CINNAMON ROLLS
Yes. Cinnamon Rolls. I love them and I had almost forgotten about my sweet little bread machine that was tucked away under the cabinet. That thing got so much use about 2 years ago. I was whipping up all sorts of tasty carbs! So, when my sweet sick child asked for cinnamon rolls I obliged and made them. I realize that homemade cinnamon rolls can be a bit labor intensive, but they are so worth it. Here’s one of my favorite recipes for cinnamon rolls.
WOODEN HONEY DIPPERS
Did I mention we’ve been sick? Well, with or without sickness I do enjoy a cup of tea at night here and there. I also enjoy a big ol gob of honey on my biscuits! So, when I asked for a honey dipper for Christmas, Matthew didn’t seem very shocked (I mean at this point, what would shock the man). I’m here to tell you that all households need a wooden honey dipper! They are so darn cute and they make life so much simpler. Also they are cute and super cute!!

I really like the gold cuff, and it’s hard to go wrong with cinnamon rolls. I hope that everyone is better soon. This is a bitter cold winter and it’s hard to keep healthy and happy.

Oh my. My husband has a collection of Garfield stuff from when he was a kid. Definitely going to have to show the kids those. Hope your family feels better.

That cuff is cute. I had that code in my Shutterfly account but we’ve still got family coming over and visiting from out of state, so I didn’t get time to sit down and use it.

Nice cuff, I have always been a fan of statement jewelry! kind of a must with our ‘uniform’ of black clothes in New York City! LOL 🙂
