5 Fun Spy Activities for Kids

April 29, 2015 by Felicia

Our household has found a new favorite Netflix addiction!  The boys have discovered Inspector Gadget and now it is all about being a spy and playing spy games.  I have to admit, I am still a little intrigued by all of his contraptions and inventions.  As you guys know, Netflix is such a great sponsor of this blog and our family and we are so thankful (because it also feeds our binge show watching addictions).  So, in honor of this show craze I am sharing with you all 5 fun spay activities for kids that you can have do today!

Try these 5 fun spy activities for kids! They are so simple and great for a rainy day.

5 FUN SPY ACTIVITIES FOR KIDS

  1. Spy Traps. All you need to do is find twine, dental floss, string, or even streamers and string it strategically throughout their bedroom.  Next you are going to see who can get through the maze of spy traps in order to get to the clue on the other side without touching any of the string or streamers!
  2. DIY Invisible Ink.  Grab some lemon or lime juice, a white piece of paper, a few brushes and heat up the oven (about 250 degrees).  Now use the juice and brushes to write your messages on the white paper.  Place the paper on a cookie sheet and heat them up for about 3-4 minutes.  Your secret message will be revealed!
  3. DIY Binoculars. Grab some old toilet paper rolls, tape, hole punch, markers, paint and string.  Have your little spy get creative decorating the rolls then tape together, punch holes on each end and attach string for easy adventuring.
  4. Guess What Game.  Gather up your old shoe boxes and through things like a sponge, a bath loofa, a piece of fruit or anything else you can think of.  Cut a hole just large enough for their hand and arm and place the objects in the box keeping them concealed.  Have your little detectives guess what they are feeling!
  5. Make a Spy Decoder.  Print off this super cute spy decoder and make your own sweet messages for your little ones!

At the end of the day pop some popcorn and veg out with Inspector Gadget on Netflix.  Trust me, even YOU will be sucked in.

Happy almost weekend!
