When it comes to shopping for clothes for kids I am often so thankful that I have little boys. I remember when I was pregnant with Graham people used to tell me that shopping for boys was not as fun as girls. As a mom of boys for 7 years now, I have to beg to differ. Not only are there tons of options for boys, but you also have to worry less about them being in clothes that are age appropriate. My friends with girls are faced with a dilemma that I am not faced with (finding clothes that actually look like a little girl). Luckily, there is a brand that we have trusted for many years that prides itself in being age appropriate while staying on trend: OshKosh B’Gosh! We have loved them from day one because of how durable their jeans are. Moms with girls love the cute pairings of tunics and leggings that keep girls looking like girls and being comfortable at the same time.
This season back-to-school trends are all about mixing and matching prints. Graham has been a master at this since he was born. Really, even though he may be mixing and matching out of lack of caring, he does a really great job with it. This whole mixing of patterns was a thing of debate over on my Instagram account last week when I shared the pairing of the plaid and camo. Now, I don’t know how you feel about it, but that is a look that I’ve grown accustomed to growing up in the south. Graham is really into the whole camo theme that is popular right now. Again, I’m not so sure he likes it because it is a trend, but more because of where we live. Camo is pretty much a way of life. So, it is fun that it is so in style because he can find it everywhere! When I ask Graham about his love for camo he makes sure to tell me that he only likes it in “splashes” which I think is such an appropriate way to wear it! Another big trend is denim in everything. You will see chambray tops, overalls, jeans and jean jackets galore. I personally love this trend as it goes with everything and tends to be durable.
We have not yet started our back to school shopping as far as supplies go. I’m waiting on the deals which will all start next week. However, I was able to spend a little time shopping for a few key pieces of clothing for Graham. We focused on a lot of jeans (he wears them everyday) and added in a couple fun pieces. I love this plaid woven shirt he picked out. The colors are bright and will be fun when fall rolls around.
Here are the camo pants Graham picked out. He also paired them with the plaid woven shirt he picked out. Put a solid color or one of the hand drawn graphic tees under this and it would be adorable! Graphic tees are always a fun way to add your child’s personality to their wardrobe.
Finally, Graham chose this fun light weight jacket. You will notice that it has the camo print on the bottom, but a solid navy blue on top. This is going to look great with a pop of color and will be perfect for those brisk mornings walking into school when October rolls around.

I actually love shopping for my son. And Oshkosh has always been one of my favorite brands. (Their jeans are so great.) I want him to look like a little boy, and at the same time, I want classic clothes (I don’t like a ton of writing on his shirts.) I can get that with Oshkosh and Carters.
