Wordless Wednesday: Pirates and comfort food…

My morning drive, pirate day, a warm cup of coffee on a snowy October day, comfort food galore, a new curling iron after 10 years, and the last of fall foliage.  When I look back on the weeks I realize the blessings in the simple things.  How often I take for granted that gorgeous view and the opportunity to help encourage and pray for two growing boys daily.  May I be reminded to live a life that encourages instead of burdens those around me.

“If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it. If He had a wallet, your photo would be in it. He sends you flowers every spring and a sunrise every morning… Face it, friend. He is crazy about you! ”

  1. I absolutely ADORE that Max Lucado quote. Makes me get chills and almost tear up. What a wonderful God we serve!

  2. Sigh, I constantly talk about how I want to slow life down and it seems I keep adding on to it, which makes it speed up. How in the world do we find a balance? I’m SO thankful we serve a faithful God who isn’t in a rush about anything.
