” After all, You are constant.
After all, You are only good.
After all, You are sovereign.
Not for a moment, will You forsake me.”
This chorus to the Meredith Andrews song, Not For a Moment, have been filling my mind since Friday. As forgotten as I can let myself think the world is, I have to remember this promise:
“The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Deuteronomy 31:8

I still cannot put the hurt from Friday into words 🙁

That is beautiful and so true. I find myself breaking down in tears randomly thinking about how senseless it all was – thanks for the reminder of the promise.

My mind is still on Friday’s tragedy! We had a brief talk with Mica. Just in case he heard something elsewhere, I wanted him to know he can talk to us. He didn’t have any questions, so we dropped it. We made it clear that he should not talk to other kids at school (in case their mom or dad didn’t talk to them about it). I think it was good that we talked about it with him. I learned all about their, “Bad Guy” drill. He openly talked to us about that. With Isaak we didn’t talk to him at all. He’s too little to get anything in the situation. I think I’m too little to get anything in the situation either. It’s too terrible for my mind to comprehend. So sad!

Touching photos, awesome scripture. Will have to listen to the song too.
Revelation 21:4 came to my mind after the events of last Friday: “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” Can’t wait for this day!
