Wearing an apron in the kitchen is a new concept for me. It seems the older I become the more messy I am. I recently discovered that I have been ruining more clothes than I would like and that an apron was in order. Besides, I just like the way they look! I think I am in love with the looks of the past and I adore old photos I see of family members who are wearing aprons.
I have shared Flirty Aprons with you before, but I want to revisit this store in order to highlight them for a perfect Valentine’s gift idea! Last year my husband completely surprised me with my Kitchenaid Mixer. That thing has become the love of my life in the kitchen! With it has come a host of new messes and stained clothing. So, I am here to make a promise to wear my apron more faithfully. You guys are going to hold me accountable, right? The truth is the new apron I was sent from Flirty Aprons is my new favorite kitchen item {well, a second behind the mixer}. I love that it is practical yet cute!
If you are not into a red apron there are so many others to choose from. I personally love the vintage look of the Venetian Rose. Evidently so does everyone else because they are currently out of stock! I can also get behind the prices Flirty Aprons offers. The Sassy Red apron I chose is priced at $34.95. That is a great price when you are looking at gift giving as well. If you have a little girl make sure to check out the matching apron sets. Too cute! Men have not been left out either. Choose from several different sayings on a style that will suit your guy while he grills. I also really enjoy the patterns offered on their oven mitts. You can find patterns to match your apron and make it a set. Yeehaw!
Now in honor of Valentine’s Day, one lucky Go Graham Go reader will win a Flirty Apron! Here’s How:

I loooove aprons. I picked out one for mother’s day a few years ago, and wear it while I bake. I had several vintage ones from my grandmother, but lost them when I moved. I love the Marilyn Country Chic apron, because it reminds me of my favorite one I lost.

It’s the thought that counts. 🙂 I have to admit I’m always very hesitant when it comes to deciding what kind of Valentine’s gift to buy for my girlfriend and this year my gift also has something to do with cooking. I’ve made a private booking for one of the courses organized by Zac’s cooking school here in Vancouver – cooking classes for couples. So our love for each other will now be combined with our passion for cooking. 😀 What a great non-material gift! But the apron could perfectly complement it.
