Am I the only one who is thankful for spring break? It feels like the time span between Christmas break and spring break is just far too long! The kids were getting antsy and so was I. So, to have a few days and a little bit of sunshine has been such a blessing.
With the Sunshine comes brighter and lighter makeup days. I have always loved all things neutral, but I also love to have a tiny pop of color especially in the spring. The combo I found is a dupe for a more expensive version that you have likely seen all over the place if you follow any beauty bloggers. However, I am always looking for a good dupe and there are plenty out there for this one. I am sharing with you the combo that I thought was the exact match and best quality. The best news is that they are under $10!
The lipstick is Maybelline Color Sensational® Lipstick in the color Born With It. What I love about this lipstick first is the color. It seems to be a pretty exact match to the more expensive brand. I also love how creamy and smooth it is which means it goes on well. It also has pretty great staying power! I put it on in the morning, ate a cheese burger and had several glasses of water and it was still there. It wasn’t as dark as before, but I still had color. The best part is that this lipstick is only $5.50 on Amazon. Most drugstores sell it for this price point and up. I have seen it for as much as $7.99, so stick with Amazon.
I’m not usually a huge lip liner fan, however, I am starting to see the benefits of using it. If you want to achieve the look of fuller, more plump lips, it really is a great tool to use. The NYX Slim Lip Pencil in the color Ever glides on smooth and is such a great color match for the more expensive version. My favorite part about this lip liner is that it is SO affordable ($4) and is easily found in most drug stores. NYX has a great reputation for making affordable quality products, so I feel like they are always a win.
Both of these combined create such a pretty pink nude look that lasts. Even for a girl who doesn’t love lipstick (more of a gloss fan) I am really enjoying using them!
