Living back in the woods has many perks. I mean, where else can you open up the door and call for your dog in your underwear. Seriously, the boys love where we are because on any given day you can catch a mess of baby frogs, try to catch several bunnies, watch fat squirrels dangle from the bird feeder and dig worms all in your front yard. However, there are a few visitors that have become the enemy of our family. Mosquitoes are generally pretty bad where we are and I am constantly on the lookout for new ways to keep them away without lathering up with bug spray every time we exit the house. OFF! sent a few products our way to try out. Some of them I have tried before and there were a few newbies that I really liked as well.
We are in the process of building a new deck and just recently added some gorgeous new furniture! We are so excited about our new place to hang. I’m almost equally excited about the OFF! Citronella Candle for the tabletop. Not only does it work, but it is cute! It says that we will get about 50 hours out of it which will serve us well this summer.
While dorky looking, the OFF! Clip-On Mosquito Repellent is my second favorite. I don’t really care what I look like if I can keep those pesky buggers away! Just pop in the insert, turn it on and clip it to your clothes. You will have a walking force field to keep it away (well, everything but the gnats).
My husband sprayed our yard with the OFF! Backyard Pretreat last year which worked pretty well and we are definitely going to spray it this year. For the boys, I am loving the OFF! Deep Woods Dry spray on repellent. Yes, it stinks but it does the trick and it is perfect for wild and crazy little boys who do not need to also be wild, crazy and greasy (they are harder to catch that way). It goes on dry and they are off!
How do you handle mosquitoes around your home? Are we the only ones with the problem?!
These products were sent free of charge. These are my honest opinions and ideas on the products. I do not post reviews on things I can’t stand behind.
