When we were sent a Smucker’s Summer Sundae kit to throw our own little party, I made the most of it with the boys. As most of you know, I am employed by the school system so I am fortunate enough to have the summers off with these sweet boys. I have been trying to make the most of it by doing fun, simple, inexpensive things with them. So, we threw our own little mini summer sundae party using items we already had on hand as well as some of the fun items Smucker’s sent.
Of course, there are only three of us (daddy was at work), but we had four different varieties to try so I filled four small coffee cups with banana slices and vanilla ice cream and two more cups with cut strawberries and fresh blueberries. The boys were in charge of what they were going to top them with and we made sure to top each with one of the different four toppings: Pink Lemonade Magic Shell, Root Beer Magic Shell, Hot Milk Chocolate Microwaveable Topping and Hot Butterscotch Microwaveable Topping.
Davis’s favorite was definitely the Pink Lemonade Magic Shell with strawberries. Graham enjoyed the Hot Milk Chocolate Microwaveable Topping along with the fresh blueberries. I enjoyed every single one of them. Just being honest here! But, my absolute favorite combo was the Microwaveable Hot Milk Chocolate with the Pink Lemonade Magic Shell and fresh strawberries. So delicious!
In the end, we created several few fun memories, made ourselves sick with ice cream and had full bellies! You can enter to win your own Summer Fun Kit from Smucker’s on their Facebook page. What are some fun, inexpensive ways you are creating memories with your kids this summer?

We go to see free movies outdoors under the stars at local parks. They do free movies every summer. It’s nice to pick up a $5 pizza, pack some drinks, and take blankets to set up a picnic before the movie.

One big memory-maker in our family is fishing and boating. We take lots of photos so that keeps the memories alive even more. Relatively cheap and in a boat, you cant retreat to a different room or tv, etc. It’s exciting if ANYONE lands a fish!
