I’ve been talking about Thanksgiving quite a bit the past week and about how are family generally celebrates the holiday. It is usually held at our house and everyone takes turns bringing something delicious. We plan at the last minute (unfortunately) but it all seems to work out in the end. The main thing is that we are able to spend time together.
You see, I have often said that I would love to have a large family. That doesn’t necessarily mean that I would like to have a ton more kids, but I like to have family around. I want my house to be the one that the grand kids and Graham and Davis want to come to and “just hang.” I love the memories that are made and the time spent learning more about one another. Besides, who wants to just eat and run or have company that eats and runs? Not me! I relish in the moments that my grandmother comes over and spends time with her great-grandchildren. These are opportune moments that may not come next Thanksgiving.
One of the places I like to rely upon saving time is creating desserts. I have been a long time fan of Marie Callender’s pies and they often show up at our holiday meals. This year we tried the Dutch Apple Pie a little early :). It was a huge hit with the family and only took about an hour to make. While it is not a homemade pie, it is pretty close to it and definitely saved valuable time used to enjoy with my family.
You can purchase the Marie Callender’s Dutch Apple Pie in a grocery store near you, but make sure to print off this money saving coupon before you do! What a great addition to your Thanksgiving meal.
Now 2 lucky Go Graham Go readers will win a $25 Visa Gift Card. Here’s How:
