I purchased the sweetest little white bunny at Pier 1 a few weeks ago with the idea in mind to create a simple Easter center piece for the dinning room table. I knew I wanted to add a few decorative eggs and possibly even a few little paper maché carrots (or something similar). The thing is, I wasn’t willing to pay the $6 to $10 a container for the decorative eggs I found at the craft stores.
So, while I was strolling through Walmart the other day I stumbled across a cute little DIY egg dye kit for kids. At first I really just wanted to hide them and dye them myself using some neutral colors to keep them looking natural. However, I knew that my youngest would enjoy dying them WAY too much. And honestly, what good is an Easter egg without a kid in the midst?
So, for only $1.98 I have a dozen adorable and special little dyed eggs that fill a bit like ping pong balls. Davis enjoyed swirling them around in the plastic baggies and mixing and matching colors. I’m happy for the little pop of color with my little white bunny!
