My Quick and Simple Winter Beauty Routine #Aveeno

December 14, 2014 by Felicia

I cared for my skin from the inside out with Aveeno® Active Naturals as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars #Aveeno.  All ideas and opinions are completely my own.  If you can’t rely on a girl in penguin jammies than who can you trust?

When it comes to beauty routines, mine generally stay the same.  I like to keep it simple because I am also not a morning person and would prefer to sleep in as long as possible.  When you are a busy parent your time becomes even more limited in the morning.  It’s one thing to get yourself ready, but when you are trying to juggle a curling iron, getting a 4 year old motivated and feeding both boys while trying not to spill any juice, things change even more!

During the winter there are a few extras I add in because of the weather.  Not only does the cold, dry air take a toll on skin, but it also generally brings more sickness which means puffier eyes (like I needed MORE puffy eyes)!  I have never been a huge foundation wearer.  I like foundations to be lightweight and barely there.  So, I find myself drawn to tinted moisturizers.  Now, tinted moisturizers are tricky, so you have to find one that works well without feeling greasy but still offers great coverage!

#Aveeno Naturals #Aveeno Positively Radiant CC Cream

For the winter, I am really enjoying the versatility of Aveeno® Positively Radiant® CC Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 30.  The sunscreen aspect is a huge thing I look for as well as holistic skin care that encompasses many different needs.  Every time I walk out of the house I want my face to be protected!  Taking care of the skin I’ve been given is hugely important to me.  I also love that overtime this is evening out my skin tone.  It’s nice to look in the mirror and truly love your skin!  Aveeno® uses Active Naturals® Total Soy Complex in order to reduct the signs of discoloration and blotchiness.  I have a portion under my eye that no longer retains pigment.  I constantly look for products that help make this less noticeable.  I appreciate that Aveeno® is using a method that has been proven effective for many years now.  Another bonus is that my blush and eye makeup go on even smoother and lasts longer throughout the day because of the moisture that is offered with this CC Cream.

So here’s the routine and a lovely photo of myself without makeup in the morning going through my routine (in my penguin jammies):

  1. Wash face and splash with COLD water for puffiness (and to wake this tired momma up)
  2. Apply under eye puffiness reducer
  3. Apply Aveeno® Positively Radiant® CC Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 30
  4. Apply blush and quick eye makeup
  5. Dust with a lightweight loose powder to set

How about you?  What is your winter beauty routine in the midst of life’s craziness?  I’d love to hear ways you keep it simple.

I keep it VERY simple, since I don’t wear makeup. I have been looking for a good facial moisturizer for the winter season, since my skin tends to dry out more then. Aveeno makes such great lotions it’s no wonder you found the right product from their line!
