Moments that Matter #PCHoliday

I think most people can identify with Christmas bringing a feeling of nostalgia and warmth.  There are so many reasons to be thankful during this season and I want to make sure never to forget the reasons we are thankful the entire year!  That is why I love all of the memories brought about as we are decorating.  It reminds me that the moments that matter happen all year long.

lost first tooth

As we pull out the decorations, each one has a special date or event attached to it.  Even if it is not inscribed, it symbolizes something.  Many of the ornaments were handmade by family members or even by the boys.  I have two special ornaments for when the boys were born.  I also have a sweet one given to us by a complete stranger on our honeymoon (we were married near Christmas).

This year I added this special ornament from Personal Creations that will help us remember the year Graham lost his very first tooth.  I love this sweet ornament and Graham is extremely proud of it!  You can find even more fun choices to personalize in the Ornament Workshop.

Our stockings are another source of great memories.  I can think back on when there were only two stockings hanging on the mantel.  We are so blessed to hang 4 stockings with precious little names on them now!  All of our stockings are alike, but having names on the outside gives it a classy touch.

Vintage Christmas Sign

I also enjoy pulling out the decorations.  Many of them have been passed down or are pictures from the past.  I love decorating with pictures because it is inexpensive and meaningful all at the same time.  I adore the personalized sign from Personal Creations that looks rustic!  It is our own Christmas Tree Farm sign and symbolizes our Christmas Tree farm tradition.  Every year we head to the same farm on Thanksgiving.  We turn on the Christmas music and stop for a Starbucks!  Some years we have been lucky enough to have snow!

What a neat and special ornament. I have had some of the ones my mom had when I was little and still keep them around they have a meaning behind them and I love when your tree comes with a story.

What a neat idea for a Christmas ornament! We have several personalized ones, and we will hopefully be able to add another this year — if our little one due on December 20 makes it here in time!

Personalized items for our children that we create when they are young and share with them year after year are great and precious treasures.
