So, you may be reading this post title and thinking, “The last time I wore Lee Jeans was when I was a middle schooler”. If so, then you are like me. I guess when you wear something back in the day you kind of get an image of what it is in your mind that sticks. So, when Lee contacted me about putting their summer fashion to the test I was a little hesitant… until I went to the website and started browsing! Lee has definitely changed from what I thought it used to be.
I was sent three different shorts/capris to wear while we were on vacation last week. I was nervous because I had not worn Lee in so long and sizes can be so different across brands. I went with a size 4 and they seemed to fit pretty well. I am usually either a 4 or 6 in most brands so I would say that they fit true to size.
I had a lot of fun experimenting with colors and accessorizing them! Here is what I wore to the Farmer’s Market and a ride around the beach. These were my husband’s favorite shorts for me to wear for some reason 😉 and I enjoyed the relaxed fit around the legs for bike riding. These shorts are the Midrise Nielson Walk Short in Terracotta and retail for about $18.
Here is what I wore for a fun dinner out with the family. These were probably my favorite because the fit was so flattering. The Midrise Belted Tomgirl in Earth retailed for about $18, but they seem to now be out of stock :(. So, the Natural Fit Belted Dorsey seems to be very close to the same fit and I love the pink color!
Now, when I travel on trips I have to make sure to have some coverage because all of the boys in my car love air conditioning! I think if I traveled in a parka I might still be cold. We may even be able to freeze some popsicles before arriving at our destination! So, the Slender Secret Belted Grace in Indigo was a great choice. Not only was it super stretchy, but it was also a little longer in order to keep my legs warm! These also retail for about $18 right now. My favorite part? They didn’t get the “bag in the seat” problem after riding for 5 hours.
So, what is your fashion and style when you are on vacation? I am always about comfort and love to add a little fun and color with accessories. If you have not tried Lee in a while I urge you to check out what they have going on now! The prices are good and the style works. Happy summer travels!
