I have to admit that I have turned into quite the “germphobe” recently. This is a new occurrence for me and was brought on by our 4 month long battle with pink eye last year. I had the nasty thing 4 times. Please do not pass judgment until you’ve had the “stink eye” more than once. Bless you if you do!
With that said, I still tend to use the same dishcloth to wipe down counters for a period of time. We aren’t talking a week or anything, but I definitely will use it for a few days and then move onto a new one. We do use paper towels, but I just wasn’t using them for scrubbing and heavy cleaning. So, I put my dishcloth to the test and actually had it sent off for results. While I don’t have the specific results from my towel, I can tell you that based on laboratory results in general, I have likely been spreading around a ton of ick! I really do not want to think about the levels of germs on my towel but I know that they must be pretty high as I think about all that crosses the path of my kitchen counters and sink each day.
So, I am extremely excited about the Bounty DuraTowel! It is like buying a roll of paper towels, but getting sturdy scrub cloths that are disposable. Because of its unique structure and cloth-like feel, the DuraTowel can hold up when wet and even be used to scrub tough messes. The best part is that it is clinically proven to leave surfaces three times cleaner than your nasty old dishcloth! Just toss the DuraTowel when you are finished cleaning and toss out the germs with it!
You may be thinking that this is going to cost an arm and a leg, but the Bounty DuraTowel is priced comparable to other paper towels. The suggested retails value is $3.18 and can be found in local retail stores near you. This is an affordable way to keep things shiny and sanitary!
Now, to tackle all of those leftover Thanksgiving dishes.
Bounty exposed my dirty dishcloth and showed me the cleaner way to clean with Bounty DuraTowel, the only cloth-like, durable paper towel that is clinically proven to leave surfaces three times cleaner than a germy dishcloth.* Find out more here!
