Today, the day after my birthday, is National Pie Day! Great timing in my opinion.
Yesterday while I had the house to myself with both boys off to school, I decided to take advantage of the fact that it was my birthday and do a little celebration! Those few moments I have while Davis is away at preschool are some of my prime hours to get things done. I generally frantically work or run errands. I decided it was time to have a “me moment” since it was “my day”. In 10 seconds I had a yummy Chocolate Satin Mini Pie ready to devour.
All I had to do was pop it out of the box and put it into the microwave.
I then had the silence, a good cup of coffee and a Chocolate Satin Mini Pie! Was it good? It hit the spot for a quick sweet fix. The bottom was made from a cookie crumble type crust, the rest of it was the texture of a chocolate moose! My favorite were the little sprinkles of chocolate on top. Now, does this take the place of the home baked goodness my husband made for me later that night? No, but if you are looking for a quick sweet fix this is such a great idea. There’s nothing like being able to indulge and save time without slaving over homemade pie when I need something right then! The best news? There is still one more in the box! Woot!
