I’m not sure where the warm weather is, but I am hoping it is right around the corner! Cereal in the morning is a go to breakfast when the weather starts to warm up. As much as I love a hot breakfast in the winter I love cold cereal in the spring and summer. It also makes for a healthier sweet snack filler. Admittedly, I am not the biggest Greek yogurt fan, but I know it is good for you. So, when I found out about Honey Bunches of Oats new Greek Honey Crunch I was a little skeptical as to if I would like it. The good news is not only I liked it, but the boys gobbled it up. Score!
The new Honey Bunches of Oats Greek Honey Crunch is a great blend of Greek yogurt, 2 different granolas, whole grain flakes and a little honey. I think all of these combined was what made the Greek yogurt work for me. Keep in mind, if you are familiar with Honey Bunches of Oats everything is crispy (which is also a big win for us). I have never really introduced my children to the popular sugary cereals just because I’ve never wanted to start that habit. So, it is nice to have a sweet treat that I feel good about serving to them. One bowl provides 2/3 of their needed whole grains for the day. Davis (age 2) even likes the cereal without milk. This new variety would also be a great idea for school lunch snacks.
So, if you are not a huge Greek yogurt fan I still encourage you to try the new Honey Bunches of Oats Greek Honey Crunch out. You may be pleasantly surprised at your new found love for it. Also, if you are stuck in a rut with what to serve up your kids before or after school, this is another great choice. Make sure to keep up with all of the Honey Bunches of Oats updates via Facebook and Twitter.
