It has been a while since I have posted a Friday
Five Four, but I am going to get back in the habit because they bring me so much joy! I welcome you to chime in on anything you might like to add, who knows, maybe I could open up this little section to the readers and let you all “guest blog” a Friday Five. I’m kind of digging that idea.
This week, and most weeks, it has been about the simple, small finds that have brought me joy, have simplified life or just made me smile. So, in no order at all, here are the Friday Five for this week.
GARNIER HONEY TREASURES REPAIRING SHAMPOO
One thing I like to splurge on is a magazine subscription, but not just any magazine subscription, I love Real Simple. I honestly find so much in that little hunk of goodness that I take away (even if it’s just joy from seeing beautiful pictures). So, when I opened up to read yesterday, there was an insert with a sample for the Garnier Honey Treasures Repairing Shampoo. I’m honestly a sucker for anything honey, so this was making it into the shower with me. I have to say, my hair is not particularly damaged by any stretch of the matter, but I love the way this shampoo left my hair feeling and smelling. It felt like some bounce was brought back and it wasn’t as weighed down. I just looked up the price and I can definitely manage $4.49. Now, that’s my kind of shampoo!
WHAT TO WATCH ON NETFLIX
There are so many great videos on Netflix right now for kids. Our kids do not watch a ton of Netflix, but the weekends and colder weather are bringing more opportunities. If you haven’t already seen it, you have to watch Zootopia which is one of our favorite movies. We actually own it because it is that good! A new Dinotrux series is also available on Netflix which is a fun one the boys have enjoyed. Another favorite of Davis has been Storybots. I love this show as well because it teaches literacy while they learn.
THIS SHIRT HAS FOXES AND BUNNIES
The Loft is pretty much my go-to store. I love it because I know what size to buy, the clothes are modest, they have quality fabrics and they focus on the details. Well, this shirt is the cutest little thing you ever did see! At first, it seems like it is just a floral top, but when you look closer you will see the tiny little foxes and bunnies woven throughout. Keep in mind that this top runs a little big so you may want to size down. You can snatch it up for about $20 right now.
CRAYON PUMPKIN CRAFT
Davis and I happened upon this super cute and easy craft for decorating white pumpkins the other day thanks to my friend Amy from Mom Spark. All you do is glue crayon bits to the top of a white pumpkin, let it sit over night and use a hair dryer to melt it. It turned out great, but was definitely messy.
