Friday Few: Flower Balm and Comfy flats

November 11, 2016 by Felicia

Today is one of my favorite days.  Veterans Day is a day I have enjoyed sharing with the boys since they were old enough to understand.  So, as I share a few of my favorites, if you haven’t already, make sure to check out the ideas for How to Teach Your Kids About Veterans Day.  What an opportunity we have to create memories and share values that will last a lifetime.

With all of that being said, here a few things that might brighten your day just a little!  I hope you have an amazing weekend.

FLOWER BALM JELLY LIP STAIN

I found this on a whim and I am so thankful I did!  It reminds me of another favorite lip stain that is about twice the price.  Not only does this Flower Balm by Winky Lux work, but it is so much fun!  Not that anyone “needs” a flower in their lip stain, but it doesn’t hurt that there’s a real one inside either.  This clear lip stain goes on effortlessly and uses your own body’s PH in order to turn your lips a pretty shade of pink.  So, this lip balm will look different on everyone.  The best part?  It is only $12!flower balm jelly lip stain winky lux

COMFY BALLET FLATS

Working as a school counselor means a lot of time on your feet and lots of walking.  We all know about a pretty famous ballet flat that is super expensive but raved about.  Well, I am not going to spend that amount of money on a flat, but I found a pair that won’t break the bank and also has pretty good padding on the bottom.  I actually purchased them for a recent trip with the high school students that involved TONS of walking.  My only complaint was that my little toe started to feel squeezed, but for shoes that were brand new and flats, I was very pleasantly surprised!  Hush Puppies Chaste Ballet Flats: $59hush-puppies-flat

Ok, so this is only a couple, but they are good picks!!
