Back to school for me means back to work. And back to work means that I have to actually pull out “big girl” professional clothes and try to be comfortable in them. Let me tell you, it has taken a very long time to figure out a good balance that incorporates fashionable as well as comfortable. I HAVE to have both!
After quite a bit of research I have found that the most comfortable option for shoes is a low wedge. The key here is LOW (no more than 2 inches). You can’t have a super high wedge and this method work. One of these shoes was a no brainer just based on the brand. The other was a complete risk that worked out in my favor! Also, finding a cute wedge that is 2 inches or under is a hard task!
This is not the exact model of the shoe I own, but this is the updated version. Mine is more of a pale nude color, but I think this one is gorgeous and could go just as well with everything. The wedge height on this one is 2inches. I love that the fabric is a very soft leather so there is no break in period and the soles have extra padding for those days you walk 100 miles! $76.95 on Zappos.
I. Love. These. Shoes.
I purchased these on a total whim because I was looking for a pale or blush pink wedge that fit the “2 inch” wedge criteria. When I first saw them they caught my eye because of the scalloped detailing. Aren’t they gorgeous? I was a little nervous about the patent leather and what the inside might be like. But let me tell you, worry not! Fear not! These are probably MORE comfortable than my Clarks believe it or not (both are completely worth your money). I was also a little nervous about what all blush pink would go with at first. What I have found is that these might as well be nude. I have worn them with EVERYTHING. $47.99 from Zappos.
