French Vanilla Creamer French Toast Recipe #IDLove

If you have read my “about me” page you will see very clearly my love for French Vanilla creamer. I choose the fat free variety because I love it a little too much. So, when we went on our family cabin getaway two weekends ago the creamer was sure to come with me. When we discovered we forgot the vanilla extract for the baked french toast my sister-in-law was making we thought we were in a pickle. I’m not sure who thought of it first but we remembered my French Vanilla creamer in the fridge and decided that should make a pretty good substitute. It turned out great and had me re-thinking the way I make french toast!

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner I wanted to come up with a fun breakfast idea for the little fellas. Using that blunder gone good we had 2 weekends ago, I decided to create our french toast using my BFF {Best Friend Forever} International Delight Fat Free French Vanilla Creamer! I am loving that this little trick makes my french toast a 3 ingredient recipe now! Of course, I added a few extras because of the special Valentine’s Day treat.

French Vanilla Creamer French Toast

  • 8-10 slices Cinnamon Swirl bread
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 cup International Delight Fat Free French Vanilla Creamer
  • if desired: strawberries cut into hearts, powdered sugar, heart shaped cookie cutter

  1. If you are making these for Valentine’s Day you will need to first cut your bread using the heart shaped cookie cutter.
  2. Beat together the eggs and creamer.
  3. Drag the bread through the mixture on both sides (make sure to act quickly so that the bread isn’t so soggy it falls apart).
  4. Heat a frying pan to medium and spray with non-stick spray.
  5. Grill the bread on both sides until golden (about 1-2 minutes on each side).
  6. Sprinkle the tops with powdered sugar and top with your heart shaped strawberry.
  7. Enjoy with your favorite Valentine!

I hope you guys enjoy these as much as my little crew did. Davis kept calling the strawberries on top “heart beats”. Oh, how my heart beats for those sweet boys. Every day I am thankful.
