Today we are excited to share a little more Mo Willems with you as well as a fun and simple craft for your kids to use on their brand new book! Thank you to Disney-Hyperion for sponsoring this post with us and making it possible to share more creativity and fun ideas. You all may be familiar with Leonardo the Terrible Monster and now there is a new sequel to that book that gives you a better glimpse into Sam’s world with Sam, the Most Scaredy-cat Kid in the Whole World.
In this new book kids will be encouraged to know that they are not alone in their different fears of the world around them. They will laugh along with Sam’s scared antics and delight in him finding a brand new friend (who is the second-most scaredy-cat kid in the whole world). These Mo Willems books are great for early readers because they involve captivating pictures that match the story on every page as well as simple words and sentences. Davis is in first grade and enjoys reading both Sam, the Most Scaredy-cat Kid in the Whole World as well as Leonardo the Terrible Monster.
In order to celebrate the new release as well as our love for Leonardo, we would like to share a little craft that Graham actually taught (and created). He loves to make these monster book marks and we thought they were the perfect DIY to go with these books. We made one to match our friend Leonardo as well.
