Best Sling Travel Bag: NeatPack

NeatPack Sling Review

Graham and I just got back from a trip to the mid west. His Destination Imagination team placed high enough to make it to global finals and we found ourselves fundraising like crazy to get there! Because we are in NC, we had to fly which meant I had to make sure we were pared-down enough not to check bags! I also wanted to make sure we had personal bags that could serve multiple purposes for our trip.

NeatPack Sling

After doing quite a bit of research, I decided that the NeatPack Sling was the perfect option for our personal item on the plane. Not only was it big enough to hold the essentials, but it was not too big for our everyday use. I was surprised that I was able to hold my laptop (Mac book pro), a sweater, magazine, medicines, several snacks, my wallet, sunglasses, phone charger, lipgloss and a water bottle and still have room leftover. Graham had his phone, earbuds, books, blanket, rain jacket, 2 packs of playing cards, water bottle and gum and had tons more room left!

RFID & Multiple Compartments

Identity theft through your bag is not something most people think of, but it is a real thing. The NeatPack Sling bag has a hidden compartment in the back that will prevent thieves from scanning and stealing your info through your bag. That compartment was big enough to fit my wallet and would have easily fit a passport. There are so many compartments in this bag making it super easy to organize your life on the go!

On the strap is a convenient phone sleeve. It is large enough to fit my iPhone XR with extra room left over. I actually like to keep my phone in my pocket, but Graham enjoyed this feature the most. There is a convenient hole to slide your earbuds through as well.

Comfort and Ease of Use

A sling bag is generally the most comfortable way to go when traveling. This bag has extra padding in the strap as well as on the back which made it even more comfy. The one concern I had was getting to my items quickly. This was just as simple by swinging the bag around to my front to get to the compartments. I didn’t even have to take it off. Graham had the opportunity to take his bag to his 6th grade trip as well and came back talking about how thankful he was for it because it was so slim and comfortable.

Price Point

With all of the features included, this bag is priced very reasonably. You can pick it up on Amazon for about $34.95 and choose from 3 different colors. Graham went with black and I loved the gray color. The rusty red color is also nice. All 3 are great neutrals.

I like that it works for guys or girls to carry.
