Every year I am finding something different about my skin. I suppose that this is the beauty of aging. I think that the major difference I am noticing right now at the age of 35 is the dullness. My skin just doesn’t glow like it once used to. I love the summer because I can at least rely upon the sun for a more youthful glow. However, that doesn’t last forever. If you are falling into this category of needing a little extra glow, then I really have a few new products you should check out.
As you all know who have been reading here for a while, I do NOT like to spend a ton of money on cosmetics. I feel like this is an area that you can mix and match on brands and really have a huge cost savings. However, there are a few things worth splurging on, especially if they work well and last a long time. Studio 10 is a brand that I was just recently introduced to. They have won several awards in the UK and they are making an appearance here in the US thanks to b-glowing.com. I for one and super thankful to be introduced. It’s like a long lost best friend!
1. YOUTH LIFT GLOW PLEXION
Ok, first of all do not focus on the price tag. This little bottle will set you back $40, but it is worth every SINGLE penny you spend! The Youth Lift Glow Plexion is like a little miracle in a bottle. The best part is just a teeny tiny amount will go a long way. I honestly only use a speck of this stuff every day. It comes out a neutral tint with a shimmer that is not “glittery”. The glow this little baby affords lasts the entire day as well! I add a dab to the tops of my cheekbones as well as the top of my forehead. Really, anywhere you can think of that light would naturally touch is where you would add this. You can even take a little and mix into your foundation for an all over glow. If you are 30 or older, this is worth the investment. This stuff is packed with all of the good ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin C and E, and Suberlift™ that instantly lifts and firms the skin. I told you, a little miracle in a bottle!
2. PRIME AND PERFECT REFINING SILK POWDER
Again, this is another one of those items that is worth your money in the powder department. I love that this is the only powder that you will need. You can use the Prime and Perfect Refining Powder either under or over your favorite foundation. The invisible powder goes on so smooth and helps to cover up some of my larger pore areas. The “luminising” powder it comes paired with is just the right amount of warmth and adds a few pops of glow without using glitter. The Prime and Perfect Refining Powder is enriched with D’Orientine™ and Gatuline. Both of these names will likely mean nothing to you, but what they do is what makes this powder so phenomenal. Those two little ingredients protect your skin as well as provide the smoothness that makes your skin take on that youthful glow again.
3. BROW LIFT PERFECTING LINER
I have to say that this is the first time I have ever used a brow pencil. Ever. I guess it has always just been one of those things that didn’t seem as important as all the rest of the items in my makeup bag. However, for the summer, this has been wonderful! I tend to wear less makeup in the summer and having that little extra “lift” on my eyes had made all the difference. I love how flawless this liner goes on. It has a darker side for the actual brow and then the lighter color that is perfect for underlining the brow and even the crevices of my eyes. All of it together adds that much needed “pick me up” especially on the days when the coffee just isn’t cutting it. $28.
AGE REVERSE PERFECTING LIP LINER
Here are a few wonderful extras that you could think about adding onto your summer makeup routine. The Age Reverse Perfecting Lipliner is a great way to plump up your lips and make them shine quickly before heading out the door. Start by brushing the color around the line of your lips lightly, add your favorite lip gloss and then line the outside of your lips with the nude portion of the pencil. By adding the nude color around your lips you create a more full effect. $28.
I-LIFT LONGWEAR LINEWEAR
Ok, this stuff is amazing and is really a great bang for your buck! I love a good inner eye liner, but I usually buy them separate from my eye liner. This is an all-in-one which means it is a huge cost savings for me. I typically spend about $20 for my favorite inner eye rim liner. This is only $28 for both and they work very well. There’s Jojoba Oil as well as Vitamin E which makes this liner work even better. It goes on smooth and lasts all day. $28.
