I’ve decided to go in a little different direction this Wednesday. I am finding it more and more difficult to keep things “wordless” so why don’t we change things up! Please feel free to link up any of your favorite blog posts today for “Around These Parts”. Also, if you are into Instagram like me, I’d love to see what’s going on in your world (we southerners like to call our place of being “parts”). Tag your photos with #GGGAround. I want to see what you are up to and what life is like in your world. Some of my favorite photos are those that are drastically different from my own “country” life. Let’s see them! I’ll be featuring some of your photos on Friday.
The Biltmore Estate during the evening is breathtaking. Ok, who am I kidding, it is breathtaking in the broad daylight as well. Since we still have children under the age of civilization, we like to visit via drive by. A few nights ago we decided it was time to see the BIG tree in the front of the house. Davis was able to really process what all was happening this year which made me more excited about the lights. Isn’t it fun to re-live Christmas through your kids eyes? I love it. I also love the fact that we are blessed to be a part of such a gorgeous place. Western North Carolina has so much to offer and such a rich history.
The night sky was taken at none other than the car wash. Yep. We were about to drive through the Gorilla wash when I spotted that beautiful sky over Wal-Mart. So fancy.
That shot of me and Matthew? Let’s just say I wasn’t getting enough attention.
Davie Lou Freebush (that’s his long nickname) gave me that humdinger of a smile for our Christmas cards and it is my absolute favorite picture of him. It really just sums him up. And…
I couldn’t leave out that gorgeous picture on the end. That was from our oh so brave trip to Mount Mitchell. We decided that it was time for a family hike and the boys really love Mount Mitchell. We were aware that it was going to be FREEZING with a capital FREEZE but we were prepared. However, despite our best attempts and 14 layers of pants, Davis and I barely made it out of the car door without crying and Graham and Matthew made it about 5 more minutes than us. Hey… we gave it our best effort. The good news is that Davis learned a new love for Hot Hands and I snapped that pretty cool pic and got a Starbucks. I call it a win.
I love you guys. Let’s see your #GGGAround!
This is great. Thanks for sharing your posts!
