4 Simple Pool Party Snack Ideas

June 21, 2015 by Felicia

4 Simple Pool Party Snack IdeasIt’s time to embrace the pool season, kick back and relax.  So, when you mention “party” this introvert wants to jump ship!  As much as I love to have fun I do not love getting things ready to “party”.  So, I’m loving the idea of just relaxing with the family and adding a few simple treats to make it fun.  Grab some fruit, skewers, popsicle sticks and iced coffee and you are all set!  Here are 4 simple pool party snack ideas:

WATERMELON POPS AND RAINBOW FRUIT SKEWERS

This genius idea keeps you from actually making popsicles.  Lazy girl over here loves them!  In order to make watermelon pops just cut your watermelon into triangles, use a sharp knife to make a slit on the end wide enough for a large popsicle stick.  Insert the popsicle stick by wiggling it side to side.  Ta-da!  You have watermelon pops!

For the rainbow fruit skewers simply grab up as many colors of fruits as you can (we were lacking in the green department for these).  Do you remember your rainbow color wheel?  ROYGBIV, people.  I tried to stick with the color scheme for these.  Just push them onto skewers and you are good to go.  Holla!Watermelon Pops and Rainbow Fruit Skewers

SIMPLE BANANA VANILLA YOGURT POPSICLES

I shared these popsicles with you last year.  They still remain some of our favorites and they are quite easy to make.  If you are in a rush these are a great go-to item.  Click here for the full recipe: Simple Banana Vanilla Yogurt Popsicles

INTERNATIONAL DELIGHT ICED COFFEE

It really couldn’t get much easier than this.  Just grab a carton of your favorite variety at your local grocery store.  My favorite is the Vanilla Iced Coffee.  It’s just the right sweetness and exactly the right hassle (none).  Just pour it over ice and you are good to go!  This brings new meaning to Taking Back 10!  Hey, I think I’ll take 20 minutes (shhh.. don’t tell my kids).  If you happen to be having a few people over for a party then make sure to get out the coffee press so they think you’ve been slaving (just hide the carton).  Or, be like me and drink it all for yourself in your pool all by yourself.International Delight Iced Coffee

We don’t have a pool (or any friends with one), but those are great ideas for our July 4th cookout, too!

I love the watermelon pop idea! It is an easy way to serve the watermelon and I, would guess, an easier way to eat the watermelon too!

My parents have a pool in their backyard and we practically live there every summer. These are wonderful snack suggestions and swimming tends to make me extra hungry!

Watermelon on a stick is genius. I’d never think of that one myself. That’s great, and would be so helpful for my kiddos! The popsicles look so good too… also, the pool. Wish I had that!

I am not sure I will have time for a pool party this summer. So much to do with work and daughter going off to college in Florida. I am really envious of your fun times in the pool though 🙂 Have fun for me. Lol
