I don’t know about where you live, but here in Western North Carolina it has been beyond cold! Our temperatures have been in the single digits the past week and I know we are all about to feel it in our electric bills. One other place I am starting to feel it is in my skin. Now, if your skin is used to all the cold you may not need my tips, but I would venture to say that most of the US is feeling incredibly frigid right now (for what you are used to).
You guys know me, I am never going to tell you about products that I don’t love and use myself. So, when ever I started reaching for my trusty favorites I figured I should share them with you too! I can’t be the only one suffering from dry skin. So, here are 4 products under $20 to save your dry winter skin!
I had almost forgot about this little bottle of goodness that I had bought for one of the boys a while back when they had a patch of eczema. It worked well for them then and it is working miracles for me now! If your hands have every gotten really dry then you know the frustration of putting on lotion only for your hands to feel exactly the same hours or even minutes later. I am telling you that this stuff works immediately and lasts all day long. It isn’t greasy at all. I can’t stand greasy! The best part is that the more I use it the more I notice improvements. Besides, you can’t beat the $7.99 price point on this!
This is another tried and true product of mine. I use this on a daily basis and I think it is the reason why my legs, arms and torso have not been dry and itchy this winter and especially during this arctic blast. I love this stuff because you rub it in after you turn the shower off. You rub it all over your wet skin and then towel dry like normal. It saves so much time and it is again, NOT greasy! You can dry off and put your clothes on right away without having to let it absorb into your skin. You will also love the $5.99 price point!
*The Edens Garden link above is a referral link. That means if you decide you want to try them out and purchase through my link I have a few points added to my account which means I can buy more goodies from Edens Garden!
I love ALL things Edens Garden. Why? Well, because they sell the greatest quality essential oil that is not multi level marketing in my opinion. It is also completely woman run (girl power) and they give back. Not only do they sell essential oils, but they sell these wonderful body oil blends. I am loving the Vanilla Sandalwood Body Oil right after my shower. It is a little added boost to go along with the Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer. After I towel dry I put a little in the palm of my hand, rub together and use on my legs, arms and torso. You can purchase the small bottle for just $8.95 and it is worth every penny!
I hear you. You’re saying, “Hey Felicia (not bye), this is not a moisturizer.”
Well, you’re absolutely right. Guess what? You don’t just need moisture in order for your face to not be dry. What?! If you are using the right products to exfoliate your face and rejuvenate, then your skin will turn over new skin cells and get rid of the dead/dry ones. Trust me on this one. Also, trust me on this Oxygen mask. First of all, it feels wonderful as you let it do it’s magic. You put it on as a gel and then it foams up. You can feel all of the tiny bubbles tingling and cleaning away. Secondly, your skin looks instantly brighter! And the final and best step is that new skin cells will be doing their thing and making your face brighter and happier. If you purchase this online it will cost you $22 (and will be worth it). However, I just snagged some from Marshall’s for only $9.99! I almost danced in the aisle. I refrained.
Stay warm, friends!
