I am so thankful to the person who created maxi dresses and to the person who decided that they were in style.  Here’s the thing: I freeze… ALL. THE. TIME!  So, having an option in the summer that covers my legs and protects them from air conditioning is perfect for me.  They are comfortable for work or just for every day.

Today I have teamed up with 9 other fashion bloggers in order to bring you AT LEAST 10 ways to style a maxi dress.  You will notice that mine is not all that elaborate, but there are a few different ways you can change it up depending upon the occasion and to stretch the outfit into another one.  I always get excited when I can find ways to make the same piece of clothing look different!

Business or Air Conditioning Ready 

I know, I just have a cardigan on with the dress, but I also have on my larger statement necklace and earrings.  I’ve worn this to work, conferences, church and a nice dinner.  Also, the look on my face, totally because of my husband who is a stand up comedian at all times.  The dress and cardigan are both from the Loft.  The necklace and earrings are from Charming Charlie.

Work or Lunch Date

I have this favorite white lace top from the Loft that I have worn with so many different things.  Just slip this over the top and you have a different look.

Weekend Fun! 

When I’m ready for the weekend I just put the dress on.  It’s that simple.  Loose the necklace and earrings, let the sun shine down on your shoulders and head out!

Also, if you want to feel beautiful, let your husband snap your picture every once in a while.  I think I had 475 on the card.  Some were, well, let’s just say, his favorite shots!
